FOLIAGE

“I WANT MORE FLOWERS”

When executing a project centred around decoration, especially flower related, it has always been a common conception of “the more, the merrier”.

One has a tendency to over-put flowers as they deduce flower as a synonym of beauty, and for some the fuller it is, then it is complete.

Let me take you to a different route. In floral styling, we have another element that tends to be under-appreciated, foliage.

Foliage gives a different character compared to florals, when properly styled and hand-picked it could reach its fullest potential giving a different and unique final look.

In this edition, our previous decoration venue at The Canopy, Majestic Hotel KL. Taking the challenge of mainly using foliage to be the main character.

Foliage rooted mainly in one colour, green. Playing with one colour can be challenging but with the right tools, textures, variants, shades and also the styling it can be a piece of cake.

Foliage-centered decor offers a unique and often underappreciated path

By utilizing a variety of leaves, branches, and greenery, designers can achieve a visual impact that rivals traditional flower-based decorations, but through a distinctly different aesthetic route.

This style is not for everyone, which is precisely its charm; it caters to those looking for something beyond the conventional, offering a personalized touch.

As the saying goes, "Beauty doesn't always bloom in expected forms." Foliage decor proves that with creativity and an open mind, the unconventional can be just as captivating.

This approach might not suit every taste, but for those it resonates with, it can transform an ordinary space into a verdant, enchanting haven.
