stronomy played an important role, way before civilization. In Malay culture, we believe in the concept of Jodoh (Unity). Some believe a unity is already written in the stars. Like stars connected in the night sky, like faith and destiny guiding to the heart we meant to find.

Amidst Kuala Lumpur, lies a celestial event of Sweet Qismina and Adam Lee, Interstellar. The muse was none other than the stars. The night sky and stars, creates a reception that brings the magic of the cosmos to life within the venue of JW Marriott.

The palette plays around in shades of midnight blue, deep purples and frosty whites. To create a landscape freshly plucked from a dreamy nocturne.

The floral styling was solely to resemble a terrestrial milky way. Hydrangeas, suggestive of nebulous clouds to mirror the depth of the night sky styled to give an impression of a flowering meadow under a starlit sky.

While roses in full bloom echo the timeless beauty of celestial orbs and clusters in galaxies. symbolising the beauty and growth that love brings into our lives.

The pièce de résistance is an array of spherical props, with its soft glow, frosty and textured as symbols to a moon’s cratered. Complemented by strings of light that trace the silhouettes of imaginary mountains, mimic the ebbs and flows of orbits and landscapes not of this world.

Like shooting stars gracing the night, strands of stars extend downwards connecting the sky to the earth, enhancing the otherworldly feel inviting onlookers to gaze into.

The table styling is nothing short of a nocturnal masterpiece. Guests take their seats at tables styled to embody the mystery of a night under the stars.

The linens with subtle shimmer, candelabra filled with fairy lights as an illusion of miniature galaxies spiralling. The centrepieces are flanked by floral arrangements in deep blues and purples, adding organic texture to the sleek of the table decor.

Celestial and starlit ambiance, as a constant reminder of the serendipitous moments that life offers.

As the evening wanes and the stars continue their silent vigil overhead, we are reminded of the timeless adage: every meeting is written in the stars. The reception has been a destined encounter, a cosmic confluence of paths meant to cross.
